The Dakota Southeastern Division sponsors its second annual model train open house on Saturday, October 20. This year’s lineup features even more and all different home layouts, plus the opportunity to again enjoy the Sioux Valley Model Engineers Society club layout located at the Lyons Fairgrounds. Trains will be running from noon till 5:00 p.m. at all five Sioux Falls sites as well as home layouts in Brandon and Garretson that you won’t want to miss either.
Rail passes (admission ticket) along with directions and maps for the self-directed tours will be available at Hobby Town USA, located at 1007 West 41 st Street in Sioux Falls, beginning when the store opens at 10:00 that Saturday morning. Individual passes are $5.00. A family pass is $10.00. Passes are good for all seven sites. Below is a brief description of each railroad on our 2007 open house tour. All aboard!
